Recently, a popular resource for SEO’s, Raven, made the decision to drop keyword ranking data from their product offering to comply with the Google AdWords API guidelines. With the move, SEO’s who rely on Raven, SEOmoz Pro, Majestic SEO and other rank data providers who weren’t already wondering the question, “Will I be able to continue tracking keyword rank?” certainly will be now.
The real question for many SEO’s, however, isn’t whether or not their tool will continue to provide rank tracking, but whether or not they should even care about keyword ranking at all.
